What's new for 2015...
Hello dear friends. I’d just like to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the wise, kind, and hilarious comments over the past year, for reading so faithfully, for making it a joy to try to find interesting, helpful, and beautiful things for this blog. This has been one of my favorite undertakings of my life, and it wouldn’t mean much without you. Many, many thanks.
Also, I’m so excited about 2015 and have been dying to share a couple new things I have planned for the blog ::
1. AG Book Club
Some of us decided that it would be so fun to have a book club together. The idea is that I pick a book each month that we all read, then I’ll give my own review and write some questions to spark discussion in the comments. However, I think the real sweetness of this idea lies in the fact that you could form a real live book club, gathering some of your friends to read with you each month, and then meeting in your home once a month to eat yummy food and talk about what you thought of the book. I’ll be hosting a book club in my home during the last week of every month, for those of you in Joplin who’d like to join. I’m so excited!!! Check back tomorrow for more details and a list of the book selections for 2015.
2. & Company Eats Recipes
Last year University College London released a study stating that we need to eat even more vegetables. Seeing as how I had trouble with even the 5 serving suggestion per day, I will have my work cut out for me to get a whole 7 servings! So I’ve enlisted the help of Shaylea Brown and Meghan Brossman, the brilliant and beautiful minds behind & Company Eats, a daring new startup with some great ideas. Each month & Company will create a new and delicious recipe to help us up our intake of vegetables, and make our mouths happy in the process.
3. Extra Virgin
As ever, I’ll continue to post every Monday about sex. We’ll start off in January with a series centered around the question, “Does God really say no to premarital sex?” (And if so, why?) This is going to be a good one, folks. :) I’m anxious to tackle this controversial question and also look forward to hearing your own thoughts on the matter.
May you all have a delightful New Year’s Eve!
