Do or Don't? :: Co-Ords
Lately I’ve seen more and more co-ordinating separates (or co-ords) and I think the trend is so surprising. For the longest time, all style advice has been that Contrast is King, whether it’s prints, colors or patterns. But now, everyone from Taylor Swift to Victoria Beckam is getting all matchy-matchy!
I’m going to show my hand and say that I absolutely love this trend! I can’t even explain why, but I’m in love with just about every version I’ve seen. Here are some of my favorites ::
This seems to be the most fashionable way to wear the co-ord trend right now: a crop top and full skirt. This version by Madewell has such a casual, chic vibe.
Here’s a similar style, but done with pants. I honestly don’t know where I would wear an outfit like this (an office meeting? a bbq?), but she definitely looks awesome.
This outfit is delightfully cool and breezy, and she’s styled it perfectly with a modern top-knot and fun sunglasses.
This styling by Steven Alan seems to be the most accessible version of a co-ords and we all probably have a couple pieces in our closets already that we could use to make this outfit.
And finally—maternity co-ords! I just told a friend the other day that I will be living in dresses for the next six weeks, and if there’s a way to pair them with tennis shoes, I’m all in. :)
What do you think? Do or don’t? Which style is your favorite? Would you wear them?
