Bathroom Makeover Inspiration
Our guest bathroom bugs me and here’s why—it’s perfectly fine. The reason why this aggravates me is that I desperately want to do grand things with it, but because it’s functioning and looks ok, other rooms and projects have always taken precedent. But a few weeks ago Logan and I got paid $75 for a project we worked on together and inspired by this post, we decided to see how much better the bathroom could look with a little budget and a lot of thought. Here are some of my inspiration pics ::
The most helpful thing we could do to the bathroom (by far) is to paint it. Right now it’s an awful yellowish-beige color and I can’t wait to get rid of it. I almost always go with white walls, but not this time! I’m thinking this gorgeous gray-green color would be so soothing in a bathroom. It would also complement the many shades of cream happening with the toilet, sink, counter and bathtub.
I know I want lots of plants in the bathroom, to freshen up the space and to keep the air healthy, and I’m hoping I can find some kind of brassy/vintagey/glassy/shelfie thingy for above the toilet.
I just like this bathroom. That’s all.
This is the color palette I’m going with. I’d love to accent the gray-green walls with pops of blush, gold and possibly teal.
I wanted some playful art for beside the sink and instantly thought of this funny print.
A mirrored tray would be perfect for our long countertop, and it’s always nice to use what you already have out as decoration. I like how they put a photo and a flower with it for added interest and beauty.
I’m still undecided about what kind of rug to go with, but other than that, I think I just need to start collecting supplies. Have any words of wisdom or suggestions before I get started on this fun little project?
