AG Book Club :: The Eyre Affair
This book hit the spot for me—a funny and light-hearted summer read that still had me burning the midnight oil. I just couldn’t put it down! Yesterday, one of my friends told me that she wishes The Eyre Affair could be made into a movie. The more I think about it, the more I love this idea! I can just picture 1980s London in bright, vivid colors and the world spinning to a stop anytime Thursday’s dad shows up. :) Also, wouldn’t Jennifer Lawrence make a great Thursday?
And now for a little business…The November selection for the AG Book Club is Lila by Marilynne Robinson, but I don’t think that’s quite the tone we’re looking. Someone made the suggestion that we try something funny instead, which I think is a fabulous idea! I picked out a couple of funny books that I’ve been dying to read and thought you could help me make the final selection (so sorry, friends, but the survey isn’t mobile-devise-friendly) ::
So, what did you think of The Eyre Affair? What was your favorite part? Did you find the end satisfying? Do you want to read more books by Jasper Fforde?
