AG Book Club :: Rebecca
This month’s selection for the AG Book Club was Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier—a psychological thriller with one of the best twists of all time. After a whirlwind romance, a young woman finds herself married to a wealthy widower and settled in his grand estate on the coast of England. But the memories of his first wife seem to haunt everyone, from the servants of the house to the cocker spaniel puppy who never leaves her side. The heroine sinks deeper into despair as she realizes that even her husband can’t forget his beautiful first wife, until a ship wrecks on the rocky coast and uncovers a secret that changes everything.
Here’s my review ::
What did you think? Wasn’t it a page turner? I can’t wait to talk about it at book club this week, because it was all so twisty-turny and full of surprises! And what wonderful characters! I will never forget them!
See you next month for 7 by Jen Hatmaker. (We’ll read and meet a week early next month, because of Thanksgiving.)
